    Why does my xbox keep unsyncing the controller?


    For the past couple months I have been having connection issues with my xbox and controller. I would usually just unplug the back for a couple seconds then connect it and somehow that would help the controller re sync to the console. However this week has been the worst. Its only after I hard reset it like 5 times or more and pray I get lucky the controller finally connects to the console. Even after playing it one time the next time I go and try to play the console un syncs the controller and its the same problem all over again. This time the controller is refusing the connect.

    I was on customer support yesterday and he had me factory reset the console. That indeed did not work. I always have the controller plugged into the console with a cable. Does not work. I have tried other xbox controllers, refuses to connect to those as well. It should not be such a pain to even get the controller on the console. Someone help me please.

    okay so I borrowed a friends controller and it works! So my two controllers just aren't unsyncing from the previous wireless receiver and computer I used them on, does anyone know how I can unsync them?

    Hey there TG SilentStorm.

    You shouldn't need to unsync the controllers. Once you sync them with another device they should automatically unsync from a previous device. Have you possibly tested one of these controllers with an Xbox 360 to see if they're able to connect there?

    Controller keeps unsyncing for me,though cant even enjoy games with it going off every 4-5 mins. Any help on what I should do?Tried resyncing but did nothing.
