Why does my Xbox keep telling me to add a new password?

Yes. It is my account on my Xbox 360, but I don't know what the 2 step verification is. All it keeps telling me is that I'm entering in my password wrong (despite it being correct) and it just tells me to reset my password.

I have the same problem and I changed my password and it has given me a new account? Some one please help me it keeps telling me my email as somthing slightly different which i am confused about because i thought it had to be verifyed to add an email address.
