why does my xbox keep resetting itself

i just bought an xbox series x like 2 weeks ago from walmart and when i turn it on everything seems fine. i downloaded a few games but when i start them for example: on Call Of Duty MW3 it starts then kicks me out to the dashboard because of a “dev error” or “Sys_error” so i tried a different game: NBA 2k24, i start it and it goes into the loading screen but then completely resets itself. like the entire xbox shuts down. And i know it’s not a problem with the games because cloud play works perfectly fine other than the crazy lag and bad quality. but atleast it lets me play. so i’m thinking about sending it back because i’ve tried factory resetting it, losing all my games and without losing my games. i’ve uninstalled and reinstalled these games but nothing seems to work. get back to me soon thank you.

HDMI Has a Handshake when it is in use - That is why the console is restarting.

If you were to take the HDMI out of the XBOX while it was running it would reset to search for a new video source.

can you use PIP instead of changing sources?

I understand you need help with your console problem.

Have you already tried doing a reset on your console?

Let's refresh the console's system cache and see if this could help.

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Select Console info

5. Select Reset console.

6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

If this does not help, I suggest doing a reset and choose the delete everything option as the last resort before we can say that this is already a hardware problem and would need to be serviced.

If your console is still within the warranty period, everything should be free.

My Xbox keeps restarting also I've only had it a year and a half ish it's the s model also I can't really imagine that it's my tv it's only a year old also and was quite expensive. I go on my Xbox and 10 mins later it goes black on the screen and it restarts
after that it does it again within a 1 min help and if I have to send it off to get repaired for the 28 days which seems more like a hundred and miss AC3 and Black ops 2 I won't be happy. Microsoft claim it will last 5 years, 5 years my ***!
