Why does my Xbox keep randomly resetting itself. Random days it’ll just start as a black...

This may mean that the console is corrupted.

Do you have an external hard drive plugged into your console? If yes, please unplug the hard drive and then perform a power cycle before testing if the issue will occur again, keep the hard drive unplugged.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

If you don't have an external hard drive we may need to reset the console keeping your games and apps. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

I have this happen to me very often while playing Dead By Daylight. For me it just randomly fixes itself and you can't really fix it on your own. Sometimes I just click A again after that pops up and boom I'm in, other times It'll work hours later or even

First, let's make sure that the power button on the console isn't being activated accidentally. Can you clean off the button with a dry microfiber cloth to remove any dust or oil that has built up there. If that does not help, try turning the console off and
removing all cables from the back of the console. Let it sit for a few minutes, and then reconnect.

Everything functioned just fine up until today for me. Im apart of the Dashboard Preview group too. Did your xbox get a random 1.3GB update and format/reset itself? Mine and a few others did and I would like to know why. The sign in issue is just an annoyance
on top because I cant even recover my cloud files. My xbox formatted itself because of some random update from xbox live and I would like to know why.
