Why does my Xbox headset change volume when my head moves?

you should exchange it at the store if an item is defective

Im using a kraken headset. But i have switched the headsets around and its not the head set. I also keep my monitor volume all the way down and have tried turning the volume on my headset down. I have switched controllers. I have changed my hdmi cable
(idk why i thought that may do something). Any other suggestions?

Headset is compatible.

Nothing else answers my question.

Plug in headset-volume only through headset

When you unplug— the tv volume then works.

I don’t want to have to mute tv or change settings turning off hdmi volume etc.

Xbox chat says impossible.

This not new and I find it hard to believe.

I've got this exact problem with my TB PX51 headset. I picked up the chat adapter today to get the chat working but now my volume is so loud feels like my head is going to explode. My headset is plugged into the optical port of my xbox. Seems my chat volumes
control my game volume and i'm not sure how to correct the issue. when i lower the volume to a listenable level I hear no chat. To hear chat, game volume is maxed and hurts to listen to. Anyone have any ideas.

You can change the volume of headset/headphone input on the quick settings on the Xbox.

A quick make shift idea is to simply turn your headset 90° do that the band is at the back of your head instead of on top.
