Why does my Xbox crash when I try to play 4K native games?

I’ve been having the same problem, especially when I play Forza Motorsport or F1. I thought it was because the was using a racing wheel, but my game will freeze and crash when I play FarCry 6 as well.

I’m not sure why, it’s incredibly frustrating.

Did anything you do work?

Okay if that's the case why not make every game 60hz 4k native .... take dead space remake the resolution mode is 4k 30hz the performance mode is not native 4k 60hz

Why buy a 4k console when the famous 1080p console,doesn't run all games natively at 1080p....and i won't say anything about frame rate......

If a 1080p upscale game on Xbox one is bad,i don't see how a 4k upscale game on a new Playstation can be good.....Arf,i forgot it's Sony and it's always good and perfect.

Best is to wait,when i see DICE who can't make a native 1080p game on consoles this gen. I don't see how they can make one in 4k.

Native 1080p isn't a standard on consoles,so thinking about 4k is a bit too early.

It is 4k upscaled but not native 4k. The main difference being that the Xbox One S takes a 1080p(or lower) image and upscales the resolution to appear in 4k while the Xbox One X is capable of playing some games directly in 4k resolution. Upscaled 4k is has
a sharper image that 1080p but is still a little less detailed that native 4k.

So yes, while you are seeing a 4k image when possible, it is not true 4k.
