Why does my TrapTanium portal for the skylanders disk game not work on my Xbox 1s?

Did you mean you bought a different portal but it's still not being detected?

Make sure to power cycle the portal and your console. Press and hold the Xbox power button for 10 sec until it turns off. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again. For your portal, unplug it and wait few seconds before turning it back on - if it has batteries, try to replace it.

I see. Did you make sure that the portal you currently have is for Xbox One? If that’s for Xbox 360 console, it only works for 360. You must get the version for Xbox One.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I have removed all storage devices, not plugged the portal in, and done all of the steps in the disk drive troubleshooting guide. Nothing has worked yet. Just like Bonsi, above, the game plays just fine on other, older, original
xbox 360 consoles, but does not play on our newer (2yrs old) xbox 360s model. Since the game works fine on other consoles, it obviously isn't a "disk" issue. Furthermore, replacing the disk with another new skylanders giants disk doesn't make any difference
on our console.

What my question is, that no one has answered yet, is this a compatability issue between the 360s and skylanders giants? If so, is xbox and/or activision able and/or willing to come out with a patch so our kids can play the game? Thanks.
