Why does my RAM usage get way too high

According to my experience, the usage of your computer seems to be normal. My 32 GB ram 13700k computer has similar usage when opening the

Edge and Discord. The game in Rocket League seems to have no problem. It's only a problem when you play the ARK with the mods.

Have you increased the graphics settings in the game？ Some settings in the Graphics settings will make your game use more memory.

Maybe you can try to set the virtual memory to improve the performance of the ARK with mods.

Click Start > All Programs > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance > Settings > Advanced > Virtual Memory.

Maybe 8192MB page memory will help you solve the crash problem.

Now is on 23% just having Chrome and Discord opened, when before with my old pc i used to get like 5% or lower.
But the main problem comes when a laucnh ark trying to play with some mods it reaches 90%-100% and then it crashes.



Reaches 75% just loading 3 mods what is absolutly unusual for me, i stopped the load because i didnt want it to crash. As you can see the game doesnt response neither.

Regarding to your information I assume that your new computer has unusual memory usage.

Could you provide the screenshot of Memory in Task Manager and Resource Monitor?

From my experience, it may be caused by the Hardware reserved.

But we still need a screenshot to find the reason why the 100 percent usage of the memory in your computer.

And this is what reaches just playing Rocket League, incredible for me.

How much is generally dedicated to X task is honest irrelevant. Let's say the 5 GB for games, 3 GBs for OS is true (which it probably isn't, for obvious reasons to anyone who comprehends any of this)... do you really think that if that became a problem down
the road that MS couldn't scale it back?

As for what I'm hinting at regarding RAM usage, consider your PC (provided you use Windows). Consider that, although it can make itself look as if it's using almost ALL of your RAM, that it's actually not, why it's actually not, and why any console OS wouldn't
even use the amount of RAM that a PC does (think actual usage, not theoretical usage). Once you figure that out, you ought to be able to comprehend what would be a more accurate amount for usage on a console OS, and even if you can't, you'll be able to figure
out why 3GB is likely a nonsense figure.
