Why does my PC turn my Xbox controllers blue?

Can you check if your Steam settings are the ones affeting your controller?

Go to Steam>Settings>Controller>General Controller Settings>Turn off Xbox Extended Feature Support

You could plug your controller into your Xbox as well and that should stop the controller from turning off due to inactivity I believe.

I think the only thing you can do is keep pressing you r controller because when using MnK the controller is registered as inactive so turns off after so long of not being used. I experienced the same thing because i have a wired headset that goes into
my controller.

I was doing that but sometimes i forget and then it dies mid game. I was hoping there would be some setting to stop this from happening. Thanks for helping me

I have an Xbox One X and a series 1 Elite controller and I can confirm that the controller should not turn off while plugged into the Xbox via the cable included with the Elite controller. My Elite controller does have a Play and Charge rechargeable battery
in it, so that could be a factor that keeps the controller always on while plugged in. I was able to watch hours worth of football without having to touch the Xbox One controller while it was plugged in. Do you have any batteries in the controller while it's
plugged in or are they removed?

The only other thing you can do is occasionally push the thumb stick on the controller to keep it awake, or invest in some wireless headsets that doesn't require you to connect to the controller for audio.
