Why does my PC Game Pass game uninstall automatically?

There could be several reasons why your PC Game Pass game is uninstalling automatically. One possible reason could be that your antivirus software is detecting the game as a threat and removing it. Another reason could be that there is a problem with the game files, which is causing it to uninstall.



Regarding your extended storage, it is unlikely that this is causing the game to be removed. However, it is possible that there is an issue with the storage device that is causing the game to be uninstalled.



To troubleshoot this issue, I would recommend trying the following steps:



1. Disable your antivirus software temporarily and see if the game stays installed.

2. Check the game files for any errors or corruption. You can do this by right-clicking on the game in the Game Pass app and selecting "App settings", then clicking on "Repair".

3. Try installing the game on your main hard drive instead of the extended storage and see if it stays installed.

Hi thx for the reply.

i just tried this and it hasnt worked for me. There is no option to uninstall Xbox IDP either, to try reinstalling again. i assume its a kind of plugin?

Xbox IDP does not have an individual app, at least none i can find on the PC.

May have to wait for an update to the game pass app or to windows itself.

Later-installed the xbox companion app that logged in automatically. I had an Xbox one in the past that is connected to the acct. Opening the pc game pass beta app and it logged me in automatically. I cant subscribe to game pass again till the month is out,
given i have already subscribed and got a refund.

do not. my game pass is on Pc but I will try to uninstall the weirdest game and all the games I've tested are like this

If you buy Game Pass for PC, you're only going to get Game Pass for PC. You would only upgrade to Ultimate if you already have an Ultimate subscription on your account or you specifically purchase Ultimate.

Thank you sleep is HxC, that is a very clever option i will do that. However in reply to Smutches, you deflection of the question is well done. Firstly the reminder that automatically upgrades game pass for PC to ultimate isn't provided with an adequate response.
Secondly, I HAVE CHOSEN the PC game pass and was AUTOMATICALLY UPGRADED AND CHARGED ULTIMATE. SO what you mentioned doesn't make sense because upon CHOOSING xbox game pass for PC, you have an AUTOMATIC UPGRADE that is unclear on advertisement, its a small
sentence on management page AND I felt it first hand, i CHOSE game pass for PC and got upgrade and charged for ultimate without options to deny that upgrade NOR downgrade the plan. SO you present to me an answer of "you get what you choose to pay for" and
this clear wasn't the case for me. Please address the small reminder of Automatic upgrade to ultimate and why that exist? Whats the point of the the options, you are ending up with the payment and choice of ultimate anyway. We can by-pass that with re-registration
but, this automatic upgrade, small attached clause is a great representation of the failure of xbox vs sony. You can't treat you customers like idiots with these tactics. You deflection of answer is disgusting as well it does not address the reminder clause
that automatically upgrades for you, despite Smwutches answer of "If you buy Game Pass for PC, you're only
going to get Game Pass for PC.(whisper but it automatically upgrades!) Just because China answers with a blantant "it didn't happen" doesn't mean xbox can do the same thing. I don't care about paying for 16 dollars a mont for these great games, however, if
the message is so unclear to an avid gamer like myself, then how many gamers will feel the same about the business model of microsoft and the reputation that is already tarnished? I pay for PC game pass and i get automatic upgrade and there is a reminder of
automatic upgrade, so where is the I get what I choose?
