why does my minecraft java say "buy now" when I already own it?

Kindly sign in to all of your Microsoft email accounts on account.microsoft.com > payment and billing > order history > select the date of range when you purchased your Minecraft Java Edition.

From there, check if you have the Minecraft transaction. If you have found the transactions, use the same Microsoft account to log in to Microsoft Store and Minecraft Launcher.

If you're unable to find the Minecraft game transaction, this means that it was purchased on a different account. Please check your other Microsoft email accounts' order history.

I have tried this already and it does not work.

The problem is that when Iog into microsoft and look at my owned games, it appears that my microsoft account does not own minecraft java edition and only owns the bedrock edition, even though i've been playing Java edition on it daily up till now.

I’ve downloaded the launcher and it’s saying I have bedrock not java, and when I go to buy it, it says I already own it.

Ok. Tried clicking buy, still does not work. Wants to charge me $35. I am stuck in the Demo version of Java until I purchase it. the thing is... I've owned Java since before Microsoft bought out Mojang. Why do I have to purchase again? I've already bought at least 8 copies of Minecraft over the years. Playstation, tablet, bedrock, mobile... then purchased copies for my son including Java a second time for him, I've had realms subscription in the past. NOW the launcher expects me to put even more money into the franchise forcing me to buy a version I already own. I can't launch it, I "migrated" it and it's still stuck on a demo version. Worse still, this happened before! this is Deja Voo. I'm about to uninstall everything and ban my son from ever playing Minecraft again.
