Why does my mic not work?

Does anyone know why after this update my mic hardly works.. it works perfect with other games but ive found crossplay sometimes stops mics on both ends from working has anyone else encountered this?? Any solutions minus the obvious restart the console

I have no enforcements taken against my account currently and my headset works fine on any other platforms and today i also discovered on other accounts logged in on the same pc the mic still works fine. I really do not know what this issue could be?

"Check that your privacy settings allow communication with everyone. Press the Xbox button to open the guide and select Profile & System> Settings > Account > Privacy & Online safety > Xbox Live privacy. Select View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer, then make changes.

If everything is on "Allow" or set to "Everyone" kindly block all of them then power cycle your console and "Allow" and set to "Everyone" again. This is to refresh your account setting.
