why does my keyboard randomly stop working mid game?

for some reason for the last few days my keyboard will randomly stop working 5 minutes after I just started playing, when I unplug my keyboard and plug it back in it works again for another 5 minutes before it stops working again. I don't want to have to do this 200 times in an hour while playing, is there anything I can do to make it stay working for longer? I tried full power restarting my console, but it still does it. this is a new issue as it has just started doing it this week.

With what game are you facing this problem, or is this happening with all the games where the keyboard is supported?
Also, may I know if you tried connecting the keyboard on a different port to see if something changes?
What procedures you tried to fix this besides the one described in your post?
And may I know if you're part of the Xbox insider program?

I understand, Caleb in this case you can try performing an offline update for your console
Usually this option is recommended when the regular factory reset option doesn't work

If maybe the offline update doesn't work I can recommend you to report this problem to the Xbox team, in that way they're going to be aware of the issue and solve it as soon as possible

I first noticed it happening on terraria, but then it was also happening to me today on COD modern warfare 2. all three ports on my console give me the same issue and it is still happening to me after completely factory restarting my console. for some reason it is only the games that can use keyboard that have this problem. the xbox menus themself and all my apps are completely safe from this issue.
