Why does my game crash when I'm playing with this one friend

1.There's 3 of us 1 has Xbox game pass we signed in on Microsoft store the the persons account and it gives us game pass to

2.We are both on PC

3.The crashes basically the game closes with no error or anything after a short time playing and then not to long after the other person has it happen to them as well or the other way round

4.I don't think so not heard of it before so probably not

5.

We understand that you are trying to play a game with your friend however, you always notice the game crashes. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner for you to get back to gaming.

We would like to clarify few things:

1. May we ask what do you mean by sharing game pass with 2 people? Do you mean you are part of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family? Or you have set your account as Home Xbox on a console?
   
2. Where do you and your friend play? Are you both on PC and Xbox Console?
   
3. How does the crash go? Is your friend seeing the crash or both of you?
   
4. Are both of you part of Microsoft Family Group and is allowed to join multiplayer by your parents (organizer)?
   
5. May we ask what is the status of your Xbox Network?
   
   • For Windows 10:
     
     PC Settings > Gaming > Xbox Network and check the NAT Type.
     
     Look for NAT Type.
     
     Please reply with a screenshot or picture of the Xbox Network.
     
   • For Windows 11: Install Xbox Console Companion app from Microsoft Store (click here)
     
     Launch Xbox Console Companion app.
     
     Go to Settings and select Network tab.
     
     Look for NAT Type.
     
     Please reply with a screenshot or picture of the Xbox Network.
     

There is a possibility that this issue is caused by the Xbox Network error, account privacy settings for multiplayer is not set, or network issues. For reference:

Thanks for letting me know my prior solution didn’t fix your concern. Aside from owning a copy of the game or using your account with Xbox Subscription, if sharing the Xbox Game Pass is all you ever wanted, we recommend you to send your feedback to Team Xbox about the Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family. This could be the solution that you are looking for. There is no need to share and save the credentials of your friend on other devices that they do not own and it would be both win for you and your other friend that the three of you can play together with one subscription only.

I was under the impression that the owner (your buddy) was a part of the All about Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family | Xbox Support Program, in which owners in select regions or countries may grant Xbox game passes to their friends and family, but this was merely a preview that expired on August 15, 2023.

In this scenario, if you don't have any games purchased in your account, your PC can only be used to play trial versions and no-cost games from the Microsoft Store. Meanwhile, your friend can play the free games that are available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers while they are still members.

If you use your friend's account on Microsoft Store and your account while playing the game, if this is Minecraft, you'll almost certainly get an error warning regarding matching the credentials from Microsoft Store and Minecraft Launcher.

Due to multiple account accesses on another platform, the game crashed. The Xbox Game Pass linked to the account should only be accessible by the account owner.

As a reminder, please adhere to Section V of the Xbox Community Standards | Xbox.





Let's hope we all play fairly. Let's hope that the preview test for Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family went successfully, then your friend will properly share the game pass membership with you and prevent fraud.
