    Why does my controller spams a button when I try to hold a button


    Like the title says, in certain games, holding down a button would always be read as spamming the button. This would only happen in certain games and all of my controllers seems to have this issue. Any solutions?

    I have tried all of the above, but it seems that this only happens in certain games. Namely fortnite and call of duty modern warfare. In other games the controller works just fine.

    Hi,Daniel! I'm Luis, a fellow Xbox Gamer . Thanks for reaching us out here.

    Try performing a full power cycle

    Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

    Once the lights on the front of the console, unplug the power cable from the rear of the console.

    Wait at least 1 minute

    Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button  on the console or the Xbox button  on your controller.

    I have already tried that. When I try to sync it, nothing happens. Is there a certain way to sync it. I had my Xbox on and held both sync buttons. Does my controller have to be on? My controller won't stay on unless I hold the home button.

    The power button is not broken, my Xbox controller doesn't turn it on, but the cords look fine. Holding the power button does nothing, and holding sync and power button does nothing.
