Why does my computer crash when I play games?

System:

intel 12900k

Zotac 3080 ti

32gb Zskill 6000ms

MSI Z690 mb

EVGA 850 Watt supernova

1 TB samsung m.2 ssd

My computer crashes when I play games. I can launch the games and tab out and the computer does not crash but when I tab in it black screens and restarts. This did not used to happen until recently until a week after I downloaded the new Call of Duty. It is not thermal throttling, the drivers are up to date, and I believe I have more than enough power. Sometimes I can work my way around it and play but when I just launch it normally, it restarts. I have reset my computer to a fresh wipe and retried and found the same results. I have even deleted every other game and tried just rocket league and found the same result. It is very annoying and I would appreciate any help I can get.

Please tell me:
When you say that a game crashes, the game just closes unexpectedly and the desktop appears or your whole windows system crashes?

Also, when you say “I have reset my computer to a fresh wipe” how did you exactly reinstalled windows?
Did you formatted everything?

In the meantime, this can be a bit dumb. But please try connecting the PC to a completely different power socket or in a different room
Just to see if it’s something with socket used

Hi Noah, please try the socket thing when you’re able to do it.

If maybe that doesn’t work, please try reinstalling windows instead using a USB flash drive (it’s more clean)
In some cases and depending the corruption the option inside Windows settings is not the best

So when the game crashes, it black screens and all my peripherals stay on (mouse, keyboard) then after a couple seconds, it restarts. I reinstalled windows off of the device but I deleted all personal files and reset the settings to factory. I will try the socket thing and thank you so much for the response!

i have a computer that i run a dedicated ark server on... the computer never dashboards nor do the people that play on my server.. but for some reason my Xbox one keeps crashing when i play on my own server that is on the same WiFi
not sure why this keeps happening its usuly 5 mins into game playing and keeps happening over and over again.. how do i correct this from happening i paid of the digital version so i could do this but for some reason my game on my Xbox one x keeps crashing

It only seems to happen when I'm playing Saints Row 2.

I'm using a 250GB Slim, and it works perfectly on every game, but if I log into the Xbox Website my Xbox crashes, but to be fair, it does crash an awful lot normally when I'm playing the game and don't even have my Computer on.

I think it's a recent Title Update effecting it to be honest, and it's probably just a weird co-incidence with logging in and stuff.
