why does my cod reinstall when I take the disk in and out

I have my console updated and the latest update was the OS version 10.0.22621.4074 and the most recent was on the 14/04/2023 and 16/04/2023

Hello again, try to follow the procedures below.

The first is a clear cache

1. Go to the Xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off

2. Wait 10 seconds until it turns off

3. Wait 1 minute with it off

4. Turn it back on

Xbox One reset keeping Games:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

Hello Katie, this is really weird, do you have your console updated or are you part of an Insider ring?

Why are you taking CoD this seriously.

I back out when I cease to enjoy the game I'm currently in. I imagine that's why 90% of CoD players back out.

Just an update on this... So far COD is the only game that has installed like this for me. I installed RYSE and Forza 5 today and it installs right from the disk right away. If you take the disk out it will stop the install. You put the disk back in and
it picks back up where it left off.

When I installed COD it was downloading files or saving files or something it didn't start installing right away, it never just started installing like RYSE and Forza 5.

Also I was having these problems way before I took the disk out. I didn't take the disk out till it was around 80% and after I was being booted back to the dashboard so sorry you kiddos are confused. It had nothing to do with taking the disk out as that
was done way after the fact.

I still had the disk in every time I was playing COD. When I first started playing after uninstalling. The first time I installed the game I never removed the disk at all. And was having the boot to dashboard issue. So then I uninstalled and reinstalled.
Once the game got to 51% I tried to play MP which would boot me back to dashboard. I waited a bit longer. Once it got to around 61% I was able to play a match online. But when I would try to leave the lobby it would boot me back to the dashboard. So I just
waited, and then called Microsoft and they said once the xbox gathers the required files from the disk the disk is not needed to continue the install. That is when I took the disk out and it was at 81%. I watched it continue to install the game. Maybe it was
then installing updates who knows. But it did finish the install and I haven't been booted back to the dashboard yet.

I will uninstall the game today and make a video for you kiddos.
