    Why does my clutch play up?


    Basically, whenever I'm driver in the manual w/ clutch option in every game, the clutch is like broken and is activated whilst driving and my speedometer shows up with needle shaking all around the place. I have been dealing with this scenario for almost a year and I've been trying to search for a solution, but I feel there really is no solution. What can I do?

    LOL, yea, that's alot of the reason why I've always hated the clutch and when I go into sarcastic conspiracy mode I think they never really programmed a clutch in but rather they realized they had reprogrammed the old shift glitch in and just decided to
    not fix it and call it the clutch. It performs exactly as the old shift glitch did and nothing like a real world clutch.

    You select Manual+Clutch in the assists first of all. Then it's just a matter of holding the clutch button while you press the up or downshift button, then releasing the clutch. Main difference between the game and real life is that you don't need to hold
    the clutch at the start line with the engine in 1st. Just foot on the gas, and as soon as the counter hits zero, off you go.

    Clutch question: I use the Microsoft wheel & pedals; not sure how to do a clutch on that. (Maybe assign a button?) Though I like manual shifting, I don't want to consider clutching with my hands :)

    Farscythe - I do indeed tune (just a little now, to start) for handling, usually by means of slightly lower front tire pressure than rear.

    Anyway, how does one go about joining (or applying to join) a club? Really would like to race instead of play bumper cars. I guarantee I will still run into some stuff anyway...
