Why does Minecraft open up with a black screen?

I open up Minecraft and its full screened while black, I think a way to fix this is resetting video settings but I dont know how to do that when I cant see anything

(I doubt this has to do with anything but im using feather client)

Now what it does is: it opens up to the first screen and then i choose easy medium hard or expert and then i go into a puzzle and the screen goes black for a little while and then the puzzle does come up.

This exact problem happened to me. I just updated and boom just black screen instead of home screen. I click report a problem and it goes to open the app then black screen. I put in a disk and loads up the game screen and then black screen.

I`ve been having the same problem with Titanfall and Forza 5, try to play them but is not loading up the games, the screen stays black, does anyone knows why??

Same here...Asus PG27UQ...Anytime i get an achievement,message,xbox alert or open game bar (WIN+G) the screen goes black to show the pop up notification in SDR then when notification goes away screen goes black when going back into HDR. Does this when
adjusting the volume too.. pretty annoying
