    Why does Microsoft Solitaire Collection still allow scam/extortion ad's.


    I have been using the Microsoft Solitaire Collection for many years. A couple of years ago I reported a scam/extortion advertisement. I see the advertisement is still running. Now I see more scam advertisements.

    1. The first scam advertisement invites you to find out about polar bears that took over a house. I clicked on the ad' a couple of years ago. It immediately took me to a website that pretended to take over my computer and tried to extort me. The ad' still runs occasionally in the Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

    2. The new scam ad's want people to buy lifelike robot cats, dogs and bunnies. These have been debunked as scams.

    I have also seen these ad's elsewhere on the Internet, but I expected Microsoft to be more protective of its brand.

    Why does Microsoft allow it's platform to advertise scams and extortion sites?

    There should be no ads in Microsoft Solitaire Collection, but if you're online then that would be up to the browser. Have you disabled popups?

    Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. Sorry to hear that you're having some issues with the MS Solitaire Collection. To address the Xbox account question, when you signed in with your Microsoft account to begin playing the game, this
    allows you to save your progress in the game to the cloud. The Microsoft account automatically gives you an Xbox Live account, where your game data is saved. Your game play is free and it is not a requirement for you to participate in contests unless
    you wish to. Regarding the ads that you're seeing in your games, advertisements help to keep the game free for use; however, there is an upgrade option to Premium that does keep the grand majority of them at bay. Whether or not you wish to upgrade
    would be at your discretion.
