Why does Microsoft not let you transfer your Minecraft worlds to your own account from a...

Me and a lot of other people are mad because of the fact that Microsoft won't let you transfer worlds between Minecraft and their trying to get a lot of Xbox users to buy the game, I have a little sibling who just wants to be an adult and manage their own own Xbox and they want to transfer their world from their shared account to their private one but they can't do that because Microsoft want them to buy the game and we can't do anything about it, so I think it's best that Microsoft changes this.

    :)

Why does Microsoft not let you transfer your Minecraft worlds to your own account from a shared one?

    Hello Sydney,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand your eagerness of this transfer of Minecraft worlds between accounts concern to be addressed. However, this is a policy set by game support to prevent unauthorized access to other users' content. Each Minecraft world is tied to a specific account and transferring it to another account would require access to the original account.

While it may be inconvenient, purchasing the game on the new account would allow your sibling to have full control over their own worlds and progress. Additionally, purchasing the game supports the developers and allows for continued updates and improvements to the game.

I hope this explanation helps clarify the situation. Should you wish this to be suggested to the right support team, please send feedback to the support team - Minecraft Feedback.

    Sincerely,

How do I transfer my Minecraft worlds from my Xbox One S to my PC?

Hello, L. Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Community expert user. I'll be happy to assist you today.

You can transfer your Minecraft World to another device using a Realm. You must have an active Minecraft Realm to do this. If you have not yet used your Realms free trial, you can use that to transfer your worlds. For more information about Minecraft Realms and how to start a Realm, go to:

    https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/sections/44...

Note: You must use the same edition of Minecraft and the same Xbox Live account to transfer worlds.

From the first device, click the pen icon next to your Realm from the Realms list

    Click Replace World and confirm.

Choose the world you want to transfer.

Wait for the upload and then click Let's go!

Open Minecraft from the second device and click the pen icon next to your Realm from the Realms

    Click Download World.

Wait for the download and then click Let's go!

Your world should now be transferred from one device to another. If you want to transfer another world, repeat the same process.

This is a public user-to-user support forum. We are expert users helping other users. We do not work for Microsoft and do not have access to any user accounts.

If this still can't solve your problem, just let me know and I'll do my best to try to help you.
