Why does it show 3rd player in duos on fortnite split screen

• In the meantime, I'd suggest giving this a try as it seems to have worked for other users experiencing similar issues.

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

- Highlight Fortnite.

- Press the menu button and quit the game.

- Press and hold your console's power button until it shuts down.

- Unplug your console for 1 minute.

- Turn your console back on.

- Launch Fortnite.

- Set the game to Duos before signing the second player in.

- Check if the issues persist.

its not much but Black Ops 4 has split screen Zombies, Multi-Player and you can do split screen on Duos.

They wont be able to play against each other without a second console but can do duos rogether against other people.

You can use the split-screen mode to play Fortnite: Battle Royale Duos and Squads on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

Here is how to start a split-screen session:
