    Why does it say I still need to buy game pass for Dead by Daylight after I already bought...


    I bought Dead by Daylight for 32$ and it says that I will need to pay an extra 16.99$ for a month of game pass just to play it for one month

    Because yoir promotional price isnt subsidizing the hardware unlike pc you pay upfront

    The subscription pays your subsidy not your discount prior

    If you didn't know sony lost 4,billion per year to offer psn for free on ps3 because the game discounts never madr up for the lost subsidy of the hardware

    It almost bankrupted the ps division

    Fyi xbox game.division makes .money on subscriptions and sales

    But not the hardware division as mention is subsidized the concept is the same for mobile phones though you pay for your phone plus your bumped up month to month plans now but now data has caught up with USA in Canada

    We paid hundreds for 50 gigs now its 55 for 75 gigs now

    Fyi if you are on console you need gamepass core or ultimate to play it since ita online only game

    Playing online has cost money on Xbox and all major consoles since the beginning 20 years ago

    unlike a PC, where the user has already paid retail out of their own pocket for their hardware, game consoles are sold at, and often even hundreds of dollars below the cost of their manufacturer. Purchasing an Xbox series X equivalent PC will easily run you over $1000
