Why does it say I need to add friends to be able to invite, when I have 100 friends online?

Firstly, I would like to ask if you have added the friends you want to invite to your Xbox Live friends list? If not, you will need to add them as friends before you can invite them to play with you. Here are the steps to add friends on Xbox Live:



1. Sign in to your Xbox Live account.

2. Go to the Friends tab on the Xbox dashboard.

3. Select "Add Friend".

4. Enter the gamertag or email address of the person you want to add as a friend.

5. Select "Add Friend" again to send the friend request.



Once your friend has accepted your friend request, you should be able to invite them to play with you. If you have already added your friends and are still experiencing the issue, please try the following steps:



1. Sign out of your Xbox Live account.

2. Restart your Xbox console.

3. Sign back in to your Xbox Live account.

4. Try inviting your friends again.



If the issue persists, you may need to check your Xbox Live privacy settings. Here are the steps to check your privacy settings:



1. Sign in to your Xbox Live account.

2. Go to the Settings tab on the Xbox dashboard.

3. Select "Privacy & online safety".

4. Select "Xbox Live privacy".

5. Check that your settings allow you to play with friends.



If your privacy settings are set to "Blocked" or "Friends only", you may need to change them to "Everyone" to be able to play with your friends.

Yeah - Live Status says it is fixed, but that is bull. I still dont see my friends list. My friends seem to be able to tell that I am online but cant send invites or message to me and I cant add friends to list.

Yes, this is how I was able to add the child as a friend. This plan does not seem to work, however, with non-family friends. He sends the friend invite, but they do not receive it.

As a backup plan I am just having them add me then add my kid’s gt through my friends list. Trying that now.

It will not show her profile when I click add friend in the lobby and when she sends an invite it says cannot be accepted but I can invite and except request from another friend
