Why does it say I don’t own the game when I do

On my Xbox series x, no mater what game I play owned digitally or on a disc or even game pass game, I get kicked off of it and told I do not own it. I haven’t found a fix for this issue, everything is up to date even the controller, restarting the Xbox doesn’t not fix it neither does signing out and in again.

I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

Please try the following steps:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

Remove your account from the console (You need to have your email address handy so that you can log in later).

2. Press and hold the Power button on the front of your Xbox until the console turns off.

3. Unplug the power cord from the back of your Xbox.

4. Wait a minute, and then plug the power cord back in.

5. Press the Power button on your Xbox to turn it back on.

6. Log in to your account again.

If the problem persists, please try a soft reset.

Go to Settings > System > Console info.

There select the option to reset the console while keeping your games and applications.

This process will remove the accounts on your console, you just need to re-enter them with their respective email and password.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, for some reason my Xbox didn't update it since the server slam beta and that's why it thought I didn't own the game. The only trick is you can't try to install it through the store, you'll have to do it through your game library.

I'm having the same issue and can verify that my card has successfully been charged the $100. I even played the game during the open and closed betas. When I view the game in the store it says I own it, but when I try to play now all it says is insert the disk and an error code: 0x82d40005.

Please can you try checking if the game is still listed in your purchase history?

You can do this by going to your Microsoft account's order history page here: Microsoft account | Order history.

If the game is still listed there, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the game to see if that resolves the issue.
