Why does it keep asking for a password?

Mine is doing the same thing I don't have the 2 step verification turned on and it should and did before sign in automatically but now I have to type in the Microsoft password everytime

try signin on https://account.live.com, check "security and Password", xbox security requires 2 Information to be added and validated. if "2step verification" is enabled, your console is asking for an
app-password instead of your common Password, you can either Setup to use it this way or disable this Feature.

when you have check aboved, try sign in on your console and exatly read what your xbox is asking for.

- does it say Password incorrect?

- does it direct you to an Internet address?

- does it provide an error code?

XBox One. Solved by resetting the Box... called support and they gave up.... there are 50 pages on this in google.
