why does it error when i try to change xbox privacy settings

Yesterday, I downloaded among us on my computer. The download went quick, and the game opened without trouble, but when I pressed to play online, a message popped on my screen that said that I cant play this game because of my account set up, which then said that to fix it I needed to go to xbox.com and change something in privacy settings. Then, I did what it said, but when I entered the privacy settings, it said that I don't have access to change the settings.

When I try to create the club inside the game, a message appears saying that there was an error communicating with the servers. And when I try to accept the request by the xbox app, it asks me to change the privacy settings

I believe it's not suspension, because I have two accounts and they are having the same error, even after changing the privacy settings.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I understand you are getting an error when trying to change your privacy settings. Where does it tell you that your account Is a child account? Are you not able to do things that you were able to do before this
service alert?

If you haven't already, try
managing your privacy settings straight from the console instead of the website.

Thank you for keeping us updated in regards to the Xbox 360 not allowing the accounts to play online. Please
try the following:

1. Sign into Xbox Live. You must be online and signed in to make changes.
   
2. You’re signed in to the console using an adult account. Children and teens are restricted from
   making changes to their own privacy and online safety settings.
   
3. If you receive an error message when you try to change your privacy settings, search for
   the error using the Error Code Lookup Tool.
   

The link listed will allow the changes to be made on the Xbox or the website. Please let us know if there are any additional questions.

Also, does this happen with a specific game or just when trying to play online in general?
