Why does GTA 5 keep saying installation has stopped on my Xbox one is it due to the size?

Please check first if you have enough space for the game installation on your hard drive.

If it has enough space, please do the steps below one at a time to sort out the issue.

Solution 1: Clear your local saved games.

Eject the disc from your console.

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage devices.

Select Clear local saved games.

Note Selecting this option will not delete any games or progress you have saved in the Xbox cloud. It will only clear data you have saved locally.

Select Yes to confirm.

Once your console restarts, try installing the game again.

Solution 2: Try installing the game via offline mode.

Step 1: Use your console offline

Follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.

Select Go offline.

Step 2: Cancel the download

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, and then select My games & apps > See all.

Select Manage > Queue.

Highlight the game you’re trying to install and press the Menu button  on the controller.

Select Cancel.

Step 3: Eject the game disc and power cycle the console

Eject the game disc.

Press and hold the Xbox button  to open the Power Center.

Select Restart console.

Select Restart.

Note If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button  on the console for about 10 seconds until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button  on the console again to restart.

Step 4: Install the game

After the console restarts, insert the disc. Follow the steps to install the game.

Note Make sure you do this before you reconnect to the internet.

Step 5: Go online and let the game update install

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.

Select Go online.

My Forza 5 downloads then when reaches 20% it says installation stopped, not sure why and when I keep trying to re install it keeps doing it, please help

Would you mind giving this a try?

- Cancel the failed installation
- Eject your disc.
- Got to Settings > General > Network Settings > Take console offline.
- Insert your disc and try installing the game again.

Alternatively, you could try downloading the game digitally by triggering a download on the mobile Xbox app. To do so:

- Take your console back online.
- Cancel the failed installation.
- Eject your disc.
- On your console, go to Settings > Devices and connections > Remote features > enable remote features.
- Open the Xbox mobile app and make sure it's connected to your console. You can do so by tapping the console icon on the app's home screen.
- Search for Black Ops 4 on the app
- Select "Download to console"
- Select your console
- Once the installation is done, insert your disc and try launching the game.

If you don’t mind please try power cycling your console + re-add your account again:

A. Power cycle your console
1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

After that, remove and re-add your profile on the console.
