Why does Fallout New Vegas keep freezing after character customisation

The reason why I keep playing Fallout: New Vegas...

New Vegas didn't add gimmicks. It tried its hardest to bring the series back closer to its roots. Fallout 3 isn't a Fallout game. It was a good game , but it wasn't a Fallout game.

Closer to it's roots? You mean by the location the game takes place in, because that's about where the similarities to the original end.

New Vegas took the same engine as Fallout 3 used, with the same exact character models, same textures, same everything and re-skinned it into "New Vegas". The game is so broken, even after the patch, the game still freezes...it still randomly turns characters
evil...it still has glitches everywhere...people disappearing. It was a rush job....bringing it back to it's roots, that's funny.

[/quote]Bethesda makes crap games with crap code, that is a more accurate reason for why those games keep freezing.

Late 2012 (around XMas) or early 2013 (after Skyrim add ons). Creation engine is basically the same as gamebyo use on both Oblivion and Fallout 3 and Fallout 3's add on called New Vegas. It was an improvement, but stiull suffers from common issues from
the earlier games like freezing, bugs and glitches. Some issues are explained by Josh Sawyer in this article.

I think You both bring valid points to the table.

Mad cap is correct that New Vegas does share certain attributes with New Vegas.

Glitching, bugs, the same game engine that had inherently corrupted issues (see through NPC's, landscape, sounds, character generation, game loading and freezing to name a few).

I think You are correct in New Vegas as a slight improvement over Fallout 3 in additions like the companion wheel, weapon modding, and crafting.

I would certainly hope that there would be an improvement to New Vegas as a natural progression step as Skyrim was to Oblivion also must add that I still see many former players of Fallout 3 going back to replay as there was a great amount FPS/ Rpg style
game play, which means Fallout 3 has Staying power along with New Vegas for years to come.
