    Why does black ops three automatically set my nat type to strict?


    I am trying to play some black ops three zombies with my friends but I cannot join them because bo3 says my nat type is strict. But when I go to my Xbox's network settings it says open and all services available. I've tried many many things to fix this but none of them have worked. I am also at college right now so there is nothing I can do about the wifi connection itself. The problem must just be with black ops three itself. Should I just delete the game and reinstall it?

    I wonder if it's possible that you have a NAT problem. Your NAT should be set to 'Open' to be able to join games on Black Ops 2. Follow this link to check your NAT settings.

    Man, if I couldn't play Black Ops II I'd be bored out of my skull!!! Lets try and resolve this issue!



    This sounds like a NAT type error. There are 3 settings to NAT Open > Moderate > Strict. Yours may be set to either strict or moderate! Have a look at the

    NAT Type solution     page to try and resolve this issue!

    Hi SkylarPortko!

    This sounds like it may be an issue with one of your NAT types.

    You can check your NAT type in Settings>Network Settings. You should have three options for NAT type: Strict, Moderate, and Open.

    If yours or your friends NAT type is set to strict or moderate it may be affecting your ability to connect in certain games. As certain NAT types can only connect to other certain NAT types. Which may be why you can connect via another friend.
