Why does a workout stop when Internet Connection ist lost?

The workouts are streamed each time you start them. Even though you workout was already begun, it probably only saves a few seconds in advance. When your internect connection drops for anything longer than those few seconds it has no way to carry on. Although
in my experience there is a 'Try Again' option on these error messages which will pickup the workout from where is was stopped.

But you are right, there is no reason a workout couldn't be downloaded completely and run without needing an internect connection. Connection errors mid-workout completely take you out of your zone and ruin the experience. Xbox Fitness, at least for me,
also seems to have a lot more internet connection related issues than other streaming video issues. I really hope the game will be fixed to a point where these issues are solved. It has great potential, but errors like this would not be acceptible if they
want to do a subscription model.

you have internet issues![/quote]I feel your pain, but I can only confirm you can indeed not play the downloaded workouts without internet connection. The Xbox does play the downloaded workout from your harddisk and uses less bandwidth, but if internet is
disconnected for more than a minute it will stop playing and give an error message. Really frustrating.

I just did 75% of the P90X Plyometric workout and the Insufficient Bandwidth issue appeared. It exited out of Xbox Fitness and asked me to check my connection. Xbox Fitness lost all of my stats for that workout, a good 45 minutes worth of hard work and exercise.
This isn't the first time and it's extremely frustrating. I had just started using Xbox Fitness again and now I remember why I stopped using the game a couple of months ago.

Whoever is in charge of Xbox Fitness needs to clean this app up quickly. Random crashes, lost stamps at the end of workouts, insufficient bandwidth disconnecting the app and losing entire workouts, invalid configuration file, blank screens, not recognizing
exercises, etc. Beta projects have less issues than this.

this has happened to me three times! I work out about 20 times per month on xbox fitness and My internet connection is fantastic (high speed, new modem) and within seconds of end of these three workouts, it just shut down the workout and exits fitness game
entirely. "Rain" on xbox help chat said that it was probably my internet access but she could not explain why it only happens at the very end of a workout. Tonight, it was 6pack ab attack and I think it has happened on this workout in the past.

But the most important bit was that you did a workout right? Not how many points you got for it...... I'm not sure how Microsoft can be blamed for they handling of your internet connection though. I have had my internet connection drop during a workout,
but it carried on from where it was.
