I think that fortnite should be free to play online. Like not every games but some
EXCEPTIONS. Cmmon Microsoft. Are you not already rich? If its like that id better sell my xbox and buy a ps4. But im not even sure if someone would buy it. XD

I understand what your says and it makes a lot of sense and do agree in a way, but this will most like not happen since Xbox Live Gold has been required for Online Play for 10+ Years

Xbox Live Gold covers a lot of Areas / Features for Example: Server Maintenance, Security, Deals with Gold, Games With Gold, Party Chat + More Features

I understand that we have to pay but why do we have to pay for a game that is free, Playstation has PS plus but they have a rule whee if a game is free to play then you dont need the requirement of PS plus however with Xbox you do. This is very unfair. You
say it is free but you have to pay £5.99 to play. Microsoft dont say it is fee if you are not making it free. You could change this rule though.

Question - why should certain games get to use the services that paying members use at no charge, just because they've adopted a different business model (microtransactions over buying the game outright)? The Xbox Live model is more fair to all developers,
not just those who make a buck when someone buys a bunch of 1s and 0s that gives their character an unusual look.

 

The golds subscription helps cover the cost of the servers needed to run the game

 

I dont play fortnite , as many others also dont , but if all you play is fortnite why should the rest of the community have to pay for the up keep , that doesnt seem fair

 

That's the rules. On xbox you need a subscription to play any multiplayer game.

 

So an xbox title that is free to download yet utilizes Live services should be exempt from a fee? I don't own an xbox JUST to play fortnite...I just happen to play fortnite on it. And I have an active subscription because I play many games on it and I
enjoy the stability and security of it's network (which is not maintained by unpaid individuals) If you want to play fortnite completely for free you can play on the other platforms.

 

You pay for the service which is online play as for the game it is what is actually free.
