Why do you have to pay $10 to change your gamertag!!!

I think it is kind of absurd to cost around $10 dollars to change your gamertag! I know it takes up space but Microsoft is a very successful company and already makes enough money. People might change their gamertag a bunch so they could just make it so you can only change it once every 2 or 3 months and if they want to change it earlier, then I would understand if we have to pay. I know I am kind of saying that you shouldn't change your gamertag(at least not often) and the only reason I am probably saying this is because I want to change my gamertag(which is true). But some people said that I should change my name so I did, I changed it, and I really, really, really, really regret changing it. One because I realized I liked my old name better, and two, I dont like the numbers after my new name. So I was thinking oh I'll just save up and pay to change it(even though it is kind of ridiculous), but they only let you do 12 characters and my old one is 14( I am not saying my old name in fear that somebody might take it, but unless they change their rules, nobody can use it). I think they should also change that. Some people put their names with a bunch of x's which is weird, but they can make it so that there can't be more than 1 letter like, 5 times in a name. I also don't get why it let me do in the first place(though I am glad that it did, no that it matters anymore), and why it doesn't let me now. They probably updated it, and I think they shouldn't have. So I don't know how this would happen but if it can...

Somebody should start a petition so that people can change their gamertag once every 3 months(they have to wait 3 months to change it) and make it free while they're at it, and if somebody wants to change it before 3 months, then they can pay the money. And make it so that people can have whatever gamertag they want(maybe as long as it is under 20 because that is really strecthing it) as long as it isn't offensive under 20 characters, or better yet, maybe even just no letters more than 3 to 5 times in a name.

I honestly think that is a very good solution, and it won't cost them too much since not a lot of people will change their gamertag, unless they made a typo or they have my case. And like I said before, they are very succesful. Probably at least 75% of United States has an xbox or other microsoft product. If somebody who works for microsoft sees this, please consider it, or if somebody wants to start a petition or something, please do.

In hopes of microsoft changing all of this,

not going to say my old name because somebody might take it, or my new one because I might get random people friending me(doubt it though).
