Why do you have to be 18 or older to be in the Xbox Insider program?

No 13 is the minimun for signing any child account agreement with your parents permission NOT contracts

You need to be 18 to sign anything without a parent

Any beta you need to be 18 and above due to the fact you need to understand what you are doing and the risks involved (it's a beta )

If a bug breaks your console your parents can sue ms since they didn't agree even if it's coveted under ms insiders warranty

Insiders aren't meant to be public releases they are specific for testing certain features hence the beta and alpha status

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. Unfortunately, you will not be able to sign up for the insider program. This program is for adults over the age of 18. However if your parents have an account they can try and join with their account. Just
have them download profile onto the Xbox and then go to the Xbox insider hub as you did.

Please have your parents read over the
Xbox insider program.
