Why do you get charged a fee for 10 dollers per gamertag change?

That would still lead to abuse you forget anytime anyone has the ability to abuse they will do so

You forget that forced name changes wouldn't have consequences if they greely changed their names without thought and yes people havr complained about using their ONE name change and getting banned again?

You do know that every console AND Most games actually charge for name changes to prevent abuse

It's only some systems like epic and steam however this doesn't include mmorpgs or slg or RTS and mobile games

Did you know in real life changing your name has consequences ? Legally and personally? Why not in gaming pretty sure it's common since most games do charge

A default gamertag would have two names and a number altogether. You're gamertag is not a default one. At some point you've changed your GT and that's why it's going to charge you the $9.99 fee.

You can't change gamertag 5 times per year. You get one free change, if you accept the given gamertag, after that it is $10 per change.

Without a doubt that gamertag would be flagged as offensive, You won't be able to get it back and to change your current assigned gamertag you would need to pay $10, Theres no way around the gamertag change fee after a forced gamertag change.
