Why do you camp?

I personally don't have one single camping class... I am always mobile, even in a stealth class... I seek out campers and send them on their way... honestly I have tried to camp, but always, always, always get killed before it becomes profitable... so I
mostly run and gun... with success... if you camp in my lobby, I will find you, and make it not worth your while...

 

I run and gun as much as possible, but yes when needed ((trying to get that last 1 or 2 blood thirsty)) I will camp in a well guarded place till I get it. But for the most part even with my sniper class I try to move around from spot to spot as much as I
can to avoid getting shot from behind.

I can honestly say the one thing I hate just as much if not more than campers are spawn killers.. Both are pathetic cowards who can't play worth ***.

 

Its not campers that have killed cod, its the quick scopers lag switchers and moders that are the problem.

 

To me it's simple. I bought the console, I bought the game, pay for the internet, the electricity, the tv and the house. I'll play any dang way I want to.

 

I love the "play the game it was meant to be played" argument as to why to hate campers. Why do you think they put marksman and sniper rifle classes in the "Game" if they didn't want it there? Ever heard of a war where you had to follow a set of rules because
one side wanted them?

I think what people find frustrating are the players that just back in to a corner and wait for somebody to run by. I mostly run n gun however since this is purely a connection based game when I feel the lag come on I definitely slow it up a bit. You're
right, there's no "rules", just subjective interpretations of what is sporting or not.

 

wait, you aren't supposed to run and gun with a marksman rifle? I am playing this game wrong then. I sprint around with the IA 2 with thermal and FMJ all the time.

How does that make someone a coward? A coward in a virtual game? If someone wants to sit in a corner and wait for their kills then let them. Is it any different when you run into a clan that holds down a section of the map effectively? I run into the people
in the corner very rarely and when I do find them I find it very easy to take them out. However in the end it is just a game.

If you can run & gun very well then do so. If you can hold a section down effectively - then do so. If you can get 20 kills in a game by hiding in corners then do so. Not sure about the rest of you- I play mainly for fun.

 

I am not a hard core camper, but what I do is I kill someone and wait a moment. Usually no longer than 5 seconds. Nine times out of ten when you take someone out there is someone who saw you do it. So, if you wait a second or so sometimes that person
who was watching will make the mistake of rushing you thinking that you may be re-loading. The older CoD's I did pretty much the same think.

 

This is why I miss the old days of cod 3 where everyone played the game and tried to be useful. Cod has come a long way to fantasy land and people who spend too much time working on K/D ratio's
