Why do they make it so difficult

So i tried to cancel my gamepass the other day and find out that you cant do it throught the xbox service...why do companies do this tactic deliberately? The only reason i can think of is to make it harder on people as a way to keep your money. If thats
not the case then please enlighten me. Everyone knows how microsoft finds ways to make its customers pay more.

Xbox says I can download music to my Xbox but it won't let me rip the cd? Why do they make it so difficult?

You should be able to cancel it at Sign in to your Microsoft account If not, you'll need to contact support and speak to billing and they will cancel it for you. Contact Us | Xbox Support

Another way to cancel your subscription is by going to your Microsoft account page (https://account.microsoft.com/).

While on the account page, go to "Services and subscriptions".

On the "Services and subscriptions" page you will see all your subscriptions.

Click on the "manage" button next to the Game Pass subscription, this will bring you to the page for your Game Pass subscription.

Here you can either Cancel, Change or change your payment options.

Not quite sure what you mean by not having the same support globally but Chat/Phone Support are available during normal business hours.

Clicking this link here, I'm brought to a page with 2 options that are highlighted. One being the Request a Call function, and the other being Chat with
Official Microsoft Support.

The support agent can go through some troubleshooting steps and if possible, offer you a refund. I personally have not had any issues with Xbox Video downloads but I haven't downloaded this specific movie either.

Canceling a subscription is very easy and fast, you can cancel from your cell phone, computer or console.

To cancel your subscription on the Xbox console:
Press the Xbox  button to open the dashboard.
Go to Profile & System > Settings > Account > Subscriptions.
Choose the subscription you want to manage and follow the steps to cancel. If you qualify, you may be asked to initiate a refund for your subscription.

To manage your desktop or mobile browser subscription:
Sign in to account.microsoft.com.
In the Subscriptions section, select View all subscriptions and select Manage next to the subscription you want to cancel.
Select Cancel Subscription or Disable Recurring Billing. Disabling recurring billing will grant your subscription benefits for the remainder of the payment cycle without re-charging for a renewal.
