Correct. That is precisely the gripe, Uneasy. When you hear us say it's never happened before, we refer to the dlc being seemingly banished into this isolated playlist forever more, with zero explanation from the development team.

This is unprecedented. Never happened this way in previous COD's, and I've been doing this since 2006's COD2. And what sucks the most is the mystery behind it, the fact that IW or Activision won't come out and say, "Hey, this is the case. It happened because
of a, b, c, reasons.." Or, "We don't know why, but we're working to fix it.."

Nothing. Their silence is deafening. And if you play online, I dare you to go ahead and mention this issue in any random lobby.. Watch the reactions. Guys are ticked off. And girls

 

Yeah, as I mentioned, this is the first DLC I have not purchased for CoD. I dont remember the time before maps made it to general rotation as I usually just played the DLC playlist. Im not sure if this DLC was a great seller or not, but maybe part of the
delay with getting the maps in rotation has to do with some matchmaking stuff or dedis, because when the maps do get thrown into general rotation, alot of people that dont have the maps will be getting kicked from those lobbies when the DLC maps come up. Maybe
theres a problem there, not sure.

I dont think its taken this long since mw2, but I'm assuming it has to do with numbers and matchmaking. keep in mind that this year the numbers are split between the xbone and the 360. In order for matchmaking to work well, there have to be sufficient numbers
to match. Dlc that didnt get complaints about the time frame still got complaints about them never showing up for certaion people, people getting kicked from lobbies because they didnt have it, people not being able to find a match at all because of having
or not having particular content ( raise my hand )

As far as the devs giving you an explaination??? .... Come on now! If you've been around cod for very long, one thing you ought to know is that the devs never explain anything.

Oh & all the quotes you listed, simply emphasized the concept of dlc being initially integrated via their own playlist. We get that. That is not the issue. The issue is the time that has elapsed since release (Jan. 23) and the dlc not transitioning into
all other playlists.

Furthermore, you conclude by presenting your assumption as to the cause of it. You state:

While appreciated, it's a waste of time to comment on rumors and assumptions. We should only debate and comment on the facts. Which is DLC partially available for a substantially elapsed amount of time, for reasons still unknown. End of story.

 

In that case there has been no point to any of these posts. So why are you still yackin?

I do remember that in blops2 the last or third dlc went into regular rotation within a day.

 

An "offical" CoD/IW/TA/Activision website may be able to give you all an explanation as to the delay of DLC into rotation, but here? Nah, we dont know nuttin.

 

Yeah, I believe blops 2 had them come out right away ..... but blops2 was where I had all the trouble with matchmaking.

I believe at least once in blops1 they put the dlc in regular rotation right away, but didnt have a dlc playlist. That caused a lot of complaints about never seeing the dlc because not enough people had it.

WaW and MW2 you could could go through the whole search process find a lobby, wait for the game to load and get booted because you didnt have the map.

MW3, the elite subscribers got the dlc early ..... but then complained it didnt go into rotation until after it was released to the public.

Thats why I say waiting isnt that unusual of a thing at all.

As far as getting the answers you want....... this is a discussion forum ..... not a tell me exactly what I want to hear forum. Someone says something, others give their point of view. Thats a discussion. I find it funny when people say they are asking
a question, when what they are really doing is demanding a particular answer. Kinda like my wife ...... she'll ask me the same question over and over until I give her the answer she wants to hear.
