Why do I only hear background noises on my headset and no voices?

Thats why i tried 3 or 4 different Headsets only to find out that all are working fine, and even if your mates hear background noise, then you simply lower the mic volume.

But why does that only work on a standart Microsoft Controller?

I don't want to turn myself louder than others i simply don't want disturb my mates

with too loud background noise.

And if my Headsets are all working fine on Microsoft

controllers i don't see why I would buy another Headset again!

I'm so angry that I believed i got better

(and more expensive) gear and now i got less than before.

See this is what just cracks me up. This is why things like push to talk were ever invented. Anyone I end up playing who uses or chats with a Kinect mic gets the big MUTE. I mean seriously we don't need your background noise and the echo it generates. Apparently
Microsoft is so oblivious to things like headset or VOIP Etiquette. I go as far as disabling the VOIP entirely when gaming by myself online these days just so I don't hear all that noise pollution. Heh I can hear your entire family complaining in the
background about the used game sales and licensing

I'm having a related problem. My games, Xbox Music etc... sound fine. However, when using Xbox Video, Netflix etc... I can't hear any voices. I can hear background noises and music, but no voices.

Headsets and video games will always go hand in hand. Kinect is a gimmick and I am not going to yell to my friends through it and let them hear all the background noise my family makes. Kinect is NOT a headset replacement.
