    Why do I need to be “online” to watch a blue ray movie


    my internet went out, and I tried to watch a movie on disc, but it says the Microsoft store needs to be online. How does that make any sense. On top of that I proceeded to try and play forza 7 which I figured I could play offline NOPE. So you’re telling
    me if my internet goes out I’m literally screwed. If I New this I never would have bought my Xbox in the first place. FIX THIS ASAP Microsoft!!!

    Blu-Ray App not working and gone from the App Store.

    I had a mate round tonight and planned to watch a blu ray and this problem happened to me. Absolutely pathetic if you ask me and totally embarrassing. Why do we need a friction app to play blu ray movies? Dumb dumb dumb

    Why the hell do I need to be online to watch dvds or blue rays? This is some bull ***. A storm took out my internet and I can't even watch a movie on my $400 counsel? Are you f'ing kidding me?

    At you on your account's home console?

    (From the guide. Select Settings > All Settings > Personalization > My home Xbox.)

    If not, then you need to be online.

    I use my Xbox 360 for online gaming and watching TV shows and movies (Hulu Plus, Netflix, and ESPN).



    I just use my PS3 as a blue ray player and exclusives.

    You have to have the Blue Ray app installed to watch blue ray movies. If you have it installed and they don't work, first try a hard reboot, if it still doesn't work uninstall the app and re-install it.

    Can't watch TV on xbox (hulu,Netflix) so I try popping in a disc movie...can't even watch that because "blue ray app" isn't a disc.
