    Why do I need to add a credit card after entering a code for a month of xbox gamepass pc?


    I got gamepass from redeeming it from reward points but when I go to redeem the code I got it makes me enter a credit card. I unfortunately don't have one and I'm not able to make a new one right now. If anyone can tell me how to get past this I would be grateful.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    I apologize but it is required to have one if we will be redeeming a code for a subscription. There is no workaround.

    I got my GamePass code in my email inbox today (2 days after I entered the promo code on Dorito's site). In order to redeem the GamePass code, I had to give my credit card or PayPal info. Next, I received a $1 authorization charge on my credit card and immediately got refunded. After successfully signed up for GamePass, I went into my Microsoft account and turned off GamePass recurring billing and removed my credit card info.

    It's optional to add a credit card or paypall, i have never added a credit card or paypall to my acount, i only have to enter a code for gamepass ultimate from wich they ask me te recur the subscription or not but now it doesn't show up. I checked my acount and saw it turned off so i don't understand why it doesn't work this time, has there been changes lately?

    I do can add it through my PC, but not via my Xbox. ( On PC I need to fill in my credit card, that I don't want)
