why do i keep getting this error code when i try to download a game?

Right now, since you don't want to try editing your registry as you mentioned that you are not skilled enough to do that.

We will suggest you with some basic troubleshooting option that might help fix your current concern.

Right now, we would like you to try creating a new User profile on your Windows OS.

Here's how:

Create a local user account

1. Select Start > Settings > Accounts and then select Family & other users. (In some versions of Windows you'll see Other users.)
   
2. Next to Add other user, select Add account.
   
3. Select I don't have this person's sign-in information, and on the next page, select Add a user without a Microsoft account.
   
4. Enter a user name, password, or password hint—or choose security questions—and then select Next.

Once done, try to check if the same issue also occurs when you use a different user account.

Hi,

This issue occurred after i had issues with gaming services, when this problem was fixed i wanted to download the launcher but was met with this error code. I tried resetting the store and the app but nothing helped the problem. So i decided i would come here.

I am currently using this version of windows:





I dont want to take the risk of using the other solution because i am not skilled enough for that.

In the meantime, we would like you to know that we are able to tracked down a thread that has the same issue as yours. Although the method that they have used is about editing some values on your Windows registry. As you know we don't recommend this type of troubleshooting as there might be some functionality issues on your system if it is not done or followed properly.

If you are not confident in following the steps on how to edit your registry to fix the error code that you are getting.
