    Why do I keep getting the: "For some reason X game has taken too long to load?


    Most of my games are running just fine. But games like Sniper Elite 4 and other game pass games. Will not load and I get an error message saying it has taken too long to start.Using an alternate MAC address and clearing my persistent storage does not seem to solve the problem.Not even restarting the console seems to fix it. Please help.

    Thank you for your reply.

    Could you give this a try? a soft factory reset should solve your game's problem.

    - Go to Settings > System > Console Info > Reset console > Keep games and apps.

    NOTE: Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. If your console has been constantly connected to the internet and Xbox Live services, your saved data should be backed up on the cloud.

    I'm sorry you've been having difficulties launching some of your games.

    I believe additional information is needed:

    - May I ask which Xbox model you have?

    - Do you have an external storage unit plugged into your console? if you do, are these games installed on it?

    - Are these games digital or disc-based?

    - Are you also getting this error when launching apps or when opening your console's settings menu?

    2.No I don't have an external storage unit.

    3. Most of my games are digital. The one i'm having problems loading (Sniper Elite 4) is a digital game pass game.

    5.No only when launching games.

    same issue as RockWolfy, the first loading screen is displayed during seconds, then it goes back to the home screen with the "For some reason (gamename) has taken too long to start. 0x8027025a" error message...
