Why do I keep getting quit ban from Halo: Reach?

I keep getting temporarily banned for quitting even though I'm not quitting any games. Can someone please tell me why, or if you work for Microsoft, can you please fix it.

Why do I keep getting disconnected from XBL

Everyone has suggested excellent things to try so far. If possible, you should also see or attempt to try a direct connection to the modem/router as that should be reliable and shouldn't cause any interference as a wireless connection would cause due to
other devices or solid objects such as walls. If, and I realize it may not be possible, you can do a direct connection and attempt to play online, make a note of whether or not you get disconnected as often as you did when you were wireless.

I have had similar problems in the past. Sometimes it is the XBL servers, but in most cases it seems to be who your Internet provider is. You may want to contact them and their support should walk you through step by step to help you fix your problem

Are you sure you are not quitting? It might be your connection that drops from time to time and you end up in the lobby without finishing the game. Had that problem some time ago, it turned out that my internet connection was dropping very often and during
the game it seemed like everyone quit, except me and I got quit banned

yeah lagging out can cause it.

in my case it wasnt lag lol

my advice is use your bannned time to practice in firefight/campaign, i learned to fly banshee this way and later used those skills to get 7 unfrigginbelievables. cant ban this

It's happening to me too. It keeps getting be banned for quitting in Halo Reach.

Not necessarily. I find people dashboard in those particular games (before the match even starts) in order to avoid a quit ban. And even then, it's only ten minutes.

Bungie (now 343 studios) keeps an eye on it better than any developer out there. If a player keeps quitting it shows up instantly in their stats, and after a certain amount of quits, they get banned. Period. Go visit their forums. Day after day of kids
cyring for being banned because they quit early.

A string of quitting will not result in a perma ban from Reach. It is a 10 minute quit ban imposed on the next quit match, and each one thereafter for several days.
