Why do I keep getting a black screen every couple of seconds when I load up an Xbox game?

Please try to troubleshoot the issue to verify that it is not caused by the software on your Xbox Series S by doing the following:

1. With the Xbox on, press the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until it turns off completely.

2. Unplug the power cord from the console and wait 30 seconds.

3. Reconnect the power cable to your console and turn it on normally.

4. Check if the problem persists, if so, please reset your console to its factory settings keeping your games and applications as follows:

Go to Settings > System > Console Info > Reset Console > Reset and keep games and apps.

5. Check again if the problem persists.

Im having this same issue. I changed hdmi's but every couple of minutes the screen black out for a few seconds then come back on. I plugged the cable box directly into my tv and the screen does not black out. Last time this happened i had to get a new xbox

Yep, just tried. It gets to the halo loading screen then it fades to black with @ microsoft 2010 in the bottom right corner, then it freezes there for a couple of seconds and crashes

Usually after a cold reboot you will get the green screen and then a black screen. That is intended. Allow the Xbox One to keep booting up for a few minutes if you haven't already left it to continue loading. I suggest leaving it for 5-10 minutes when the
screen goes black to ensure it has had time to do what it is doing.

If you get the error text again, make note of it and contact Microsoft Support.

Forza motorsport got no problems, I drag to my second screen and load up on my second screen every time i load the game up. I all so had no problem with all my other games.
