Why do I have two usernames?

I recently changed my Xbox username on my 360 and now when I go to my profile it shows my old name and then my new one under it. Please help

To do that, I am afraid you would need to have a paid gamertag change on https://social.xbox.com/ChangeGamerTag and change your gamertag which will require you to enter only 12 characters. After you have selected an available gamertag, on the next step, there's an option to customize your gamertag from the old system. You can change it from there or just leave it as is to match with your main gamertag.

Which game are you referring to? There are still games that do not support the new gamertag system which will use old system. You could try playing new games and see if it shows the other one.

I see. That's weird. Could you try to reclaim your new gamertag on https://social.xbox.com/ChangeGamerTag ? You don't have to pay since it's already on your profile.
