WHY DO I HAVE TO RE-BUY THIS GAME

I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

After each step try to see if the issue is fixed!

First, please select System > Settings > account > remove accounts and then select your account and select Remove to confirm.

Then, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2-3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.

If the issue persists, please select System > Settings > General > Network setting > Advanced settings > Alternate MAC address: clear

Then, please select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps

That game does not support Play Anywhere so you'd have to buy the console version of the game or subscribe to Game Pass.

I am very sorry for what you are going through, doing a search on the internet I found that the independent advisor Gerardo C. has a solution, I will leave him his information so that he can find out about the solution.

If you bought the game digitally with your account, just log in with the account that bought the game on the console and then go to your games library and it will appear there ready to install. Likewise, you can search for the game from the Store and it will appear as yours so you can install it.

I have already searched for the game in the store but it is asking for me to pay for it even though I did 3 years ago. I did bought the game digitally but the instructions was a bit unclear. Do I re-login to my Xbox account to see if it is still available for me to re-download?
