    Why do I get the error 0x8007003B when signing in to Microsoft Store or Xbox app?


    Whenever I try to log in to my Microsoft Store or Xbox app (PC) using my Microsoft account, I get this error 0x8007003B. Weirdly, I can normally sign in to the Xbox and Microsoft websites with no issue. This error only appears when I try to sign in with the Microsoft Store and Xbox app.

    Have you already checked if you have any pending updates on both the Microsoft store and your Windows?

    1. Check recent version of the Xbox app

    Microsoft Store app > Downloads > Get updates/Update all

    2. Check for the most recent version of Windows, including optional updates

    PC Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates > Install

    Try resetting both applications.

    Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Microsoft Store > Click the three dots (...) > Advanced Options > Click both Repair and Reset Button.

    Do the same for Xbox app.

    Sorry, do you mean you're also getting the same error on MS store app? Are you getting this error when signing in to a specific game server?

    If it persists, you can try resetting your password to refresh your account. Please also select the Start button > Settings > Accounts , then find the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app and select Remove. Then go back to the Xbox app and sign in with the Microsoft account you just removed.

    Sign in to the Microsoft Store and in the Xbox Console Companion app, check if you get the same error.

    You mean the store and app I can't sign into? The error is preventing me from signing into Microsoft. From the store, to the XBox app to Cortana.
