Why did xbox gamebar remove most of my friends?! ( Windows 11 computer user )

You can use power shell to remove it.

NOTE: THIS IS COMMAND LINE, IF YOU DO SOMETHING WRONG, YOU CAN DESTROY YOUR COMPUTER. I DO NOT WORK FOR MICROSOFT.

1. Start windows power shell as admin (windows 10) or start windows terminal (admin) (windows 11)
   
2. Type this command Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay* | Remove-AppxPackage
   
3. Wait for the command to finish
   
4. Restart your computer
   

To reverse this, just get gamebar from the MS store

Hey Josef, I am currently updated to Windows 11 and it has recently started to happen (maybe in the past 2 months) and even after restarting my computer I am unable to get the gamebar to work.

why did you remove it in the first place, windows 11 comes with the xbox app already installed.

yeah it's the same with me, 300 down 50 up on an average day, latest version of gamebar and windows 11 23H3, latest version of Xbox app with no corrupt drivers, hard drives, my audio device and headset are working just fine on literally any other platform except gamebar/Xbox app. maybe it's a botched windows update that broke the software in gamebar?
