why did they release a new console with very limited stock ?

are you for real, all manufacturers around the world are having issues due to the massive shortages of chips. normally there is a shortage on any release but the chip shortage has crippled most industries and companies from kitchen appliances, cars, computers and so on, even mobile phones. just because you are salty at not being able to get one yet.

we are just coming near the end of a huge pandemic, there has been huge demand for tech all across the globe and there are just not enough plants to create the required chips, the fabrication plants are running at 100% constantly which they were never designed to do and they are building more plants but these won't be ready till at least 2023.

and if they sorted all the required stock out first then you would not see the release of new tech for years.

Risk versus reward really...they knew that there would be very limited supplies but they didn't want to delay it for fear of losing money to Playstation (I am speculating of course).

You could ask the same question of both NVIDIA and AMD who released numerous GPUs late last year (and CPUs in the case of AMD)...both companies knew they wouldn't have the stock to satisfy demand due to the Pandemic but chose to ignore this.

Ultimately, big tech companies (and plenty of others) only see users as how much money they can get out of you...they don't really care how many people are unhappy with their inability to buy a product

The same can be said for the PS5 for the shortages and do you think Microsoft and Sony are the only companies having supply problems.

The chip manufacturers will have supply problems as well and if they can't get the materials to make the chips it has a knock on effect for the companies that require those chips.

As for releasing limited stock at a time, I had the sense to go to my local game store in September last your to place a deposit for an Xbox Series X pre order and I did get the console on its day of release.

You had as much chance as I did to pre order a console and it wasn't my fault that you couldn't be bothered to go to your local game store to pre order a console.

Nothing like playing on my launch day console that I had the sense to pre order like the other people that were waiting in line in front of me to pre order theirs as well.

Even if I hadn't pre ordered my console I wouldn't go on the Xbox forum crying about that I couldn't buy one.

I stay in the UK and I just had a look at some of the websites that sell consoles and all of them have the Series s in stock but they have no stock for the Series X.

So I have the Xbox Series X that I pre ordered and I got a Xbox Series S two weeks ago as a spare console.

O you had the sense to pre order did you,well thats just great so all us dummies who don't have sense should just shut up should they,that's awesome 😅.

How about they just sort the required stock out first then release it but that's obviously impossible some how ???,so let's just make enough for some kids to get and not others nice work👌.

I hope they realise thats not a good thing to do because at this moment some 1 year after realise there still not available and as you can imagine now people are just saying well **** this **** they can shove it now and be so put off by this dumb desicion that would make them just quit trying to get one not only now but forever, obviously there is not enough of us for microsoft to give a dam though 🤣 !
